With the growing work pressure everywhere and on everybody, our lives have become more complex with no time left for joy. We all are surrounded by many types of tensions. So, these days, everybody longs for peace. Here are a few Vaastu tips, collected from reliable sources, which may help in bringing peace and harmony in your home.

  1. Arrange your furniture in such a way that your back never faces any door.
  2. Clean and decorate your home regularly. Give your walls a fresh coat of paint every year before Diwali. If not every year, do this at least once in 3 years. This would create good Vaastu and will bring prosperity.
  3. Make the bed everyday before and after sleeping. Do not leave the bed sheets and pillows crumpled.
  4. Don’t let slippers and shoes lay scattered in the house. This could lead to feuds in the family. Keep them separately in an allotted place.
  5. Brooms, dusters etc. should not lay scattered in the house. This brings disharmony in the house. Keep them away when not in use. Also, don’t keep the brooms in a standing position.
  6. Leaking pipes, blocked drains and non-functional taps should be repaired immediately as they may lead to financial loss.
  7. Keep the soap case, soap and water mug neat and clean in the bathroom.
  8. It is auspicious to have Mangal Kalash in the house, filled with Ganga Jal or plain water. It is considered to bring prosperity to the family and shoul be kept in the north-east.
  9. ‘OM’ is a very potent vaastu symbol. Draw this on the front door of the house for good lock.
  10. Clean the curtains, sofas; foot mats etc. regularly because they tend to accumulate dust and dirt which is not auspicious.
